Diamonds and blossoms

 

April is when colourful flowers bloom, and everywhere are blossoms growing on trees and shrubs. While spring birds and insects amplify their song and dance. We come out from cold slumber like emerging butterflies. What else could happen?

Spring is not all sweetness and light. It can be tough, as the hard winds and rains fall, drinking the landscape, but threatens cold snaps too, the occasional snow and hailstones pounding on the rooftops. A sudden freeze in temperature during spring is a shock to everyone, and can even kill plants. April snow causes a bad harvest. 

Another dark side of April is the violent traits of both Aries and Taurus. The April born Aries tends to be far more domineering, harsh, strict, imposing and fiery tempered than a March born Aries. April Aries children can be jealous, impatient, demanding, unforgiving and destructive. April born Taurus children are stubborn, possessive, materialistic and vindictive. The raging bull and the battering ram.

In The Wasteland by T. S. Eliot, there is written "April is the cruellest month." The rest follows: "breeding/Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing/Memory and desire, stirring/Dull roots with spring rain." It describes the sadness after the most brutal events of WWI and how difficult it is to enjoy anything. 

What's more dark is the ongoing violent shadow hanging over the world right now, that began during Mercury retrograde. How can we cope with this? First of all April is a secret healing time. It's headed by the diamond, which is the birthstone of April babies. Diamonds are the toughest stones, amplifying the energies of other stones. Diamonds are able to clear negative energy too, by healing mental pain, removing fears, reducing depression and enhancing a positive view inner and outer. Diamonds are the crown chakra, linked to the highest spiritual self. Diamonds can protect against evil. 

Diamonds represent eternal love, positivity, peace and harmony, and they are part of the April power house.

Happy Ostara message

Fresh new beginnings, blossoms and flowers. Life and innocence. Eggs are a motif of fertility, life and abundance. The goddess of spring is named Ostara (or spelled Eostre) in Germanic myth. In Greek myth there are more than one goddess of a kind such as Eos of the dawn, and Persephone that brings spring. 

Everyone enjoy the Easter break. Have a merry Ostara and a lovely blissful Eosturmonath.

Focus on the light

Yesterday was the launch of a moon destined rocket, called Artemis Moon Mission. The spacecraft is called Artemis II, a very significant project causing happiness. The last time astronauts were sent to the moon was in 1972, and that was 54 years ago. Back then the rocket was called Apollo. 

Naming the crafts after this Olympian brother and sister from Greek mythology gives the whole programme a certain mystical vibe, even though the space mission teams' aim is scientific. And everything about space travel is (to me) rather boring. It's technical of hard dry facts, data, mathematics and formula. However I can't help but see the magic around it.  

It was launched on April Fool's Day! Even NASA (National aeronautics and space administration) have acknowledged that yes Artemis II launch is on April Fool's Day but they also said "it isn't a joke". No one knows where April Fool's Day comes from, why it started, when it began or its deep origins others than its worldwide recognised. It might be significant here, as the Artemis moon mission took off that day, at a time when the world braces for a Pink Moon.

April's full moon is called the Pink Moon. The colour pink was named because of the bloom of spring flowers, especially blossoms and moss phlox. The moss phlox is native to the Americas and is a bright creeping plant with star shaped flowers. Its rich odour gets mistaken by people for marijuana! This pink moon has already risen. And Artemis's arrow will reach the pink moon.

Use this time to launch yourself into a new phase. Think ahead, look forward to the future and don't dwell on the negative. Spring is a time of fertility and growth, new beginnings and renewal. While the news is full of stories to make many anxious, fed up, feeling helpless and angry, the moon is always present. You are you, and you know things about yourself that no one else does. So you can embrace your inner hidden self and overcome influences from the draining misery outside.  Find your inner strength. Run wild and free. Learn more about nature and accept that you're part of the Earth and all the animals and such biodiversity. While the moon is full, you can look within and find your confidence and inner peace.
