The goddess Freyja is associated with love and beauty. She is also a symbol of the magical Brisingamen necklace, a coat made of falcon feathers, the Hildisvini boar, her chariot, the triple crescent, sacred flower daisy, Bygul and Trjegul the cats. Freyja is also the goddess of fertility, motherhood, childbirth, death and war. Her epithets include Lady of the Slain, Goddess of Love, Lady of the Vanir, Sea Brightener, Giver and Goddess beautiful in tears. Offerings to Freyja are food (honey, mead, wine), precious objects (jewellery and cat figures) and sweet scents (perfumes, candles and incense).
Her twin brother is the god Frey. So Freyja and Frey (brother and sister) represent the sign of Gemini. They're both "divine twins". Freyja is a sorceress and teaches magical arts. Her character is very important to the land, crops and trees too. She gave magical wisdom to the Aesir and provided the knowledge of the Seidr to Odin. The name of Her dwelling is a hall in the meadows of Folkvangr, where souls of slain warriors are led. If they don't get to Valhalla, they will go to Folkvangr.
